My Five Favourite Tools

fivetools1. Tweezerman Tweezers with Slanting Edge

These are the best stainless steel tweezers because they are perfectly aligned and the tips are hand filed for precision plucking.

Tip : Tweeze in the direction of hair growth directly after shower when pores are open.

2. Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers

These are the best eyelash curlers on the market because of their angle and precision. The mushroom shaped hard rubber inset does not split and there is an extra one in the box.

Tip : Always keep eyelash curlers in their box to prevent them from bending as they are quite fragile.

3. Muji Cotton Buds

These come in two different sizes but I love the tiny ones for cleaning up corners of eyes, fallout from eyeshadow and blending.

Tip : Wet the cotton bud in Crealine H2O from Bioderma for cleaning up (more on this product later).

4. Sephora Latex Free Hypoallergenic Makeup Sponge

This 3D super soft make up sponge is great for applying foundation and concealer into the contours of the face.

Tip : Wash sponges with soap and water after each use or use eau ecarlate (more on this product later).

5. Hard White Fan Shaped Brush

I can’t remember where I got this brush, but I think it was from Mac. It has a fan shaped hard white bristles. I use it to apply mascara on top of the lashes, from roots to tips. I dip the brush into the mascara wand and coat the lashes from above.

Tip : This is especially good for blondes and gingers where the roots of the lashes show from above and a mascara wand is too thick to use without making a mess.
