Room Ninety-Two
I had the opportunity to meet Lynn Taylor, bespoke facial and beauty therapist, while on a recent trip to Whitstable from Paris. She came highly recommended and I immediately felt secure in her warm environment and charmed by her friendliness. Being a make up artist myself, I am very particular when it comes to having treatments by other people, but I could tell within minutes I was in safe hands.
I had the Bee Sting Facial, otherwise known as “natural botox”. The natural and organic ingredients work in synergy for an instant anti-ageing effect. The Cleanser has a wonderful aroma of lavender and rosemary. During the Skin Polish application there is a tiny tingling sensation that only lasts a couple of minutes which is then followed by the Bee Venom Mask. Lynn uses a combination of lymph drainage and acupressure movements which were both strong and relaxing – I even fell asleep!
This facial works by tricking the skin into thinking its been stung. The bee venom in the mask is only one percent but is effective enough for the skin to produce collagen and elastin. This in combination with the polish and the acupressure massage, leaves the skin looking smooth and tight. It worked for me and I could definitely see the results. It was a pleasure meeting Lynn as she truly has sensitive and healing hands. It was one of the best facials I’ve ever had!
The products I would recommend are the Cleansing Milk containing lavender & rosemary and the Bee Venom Mask to be used morning and night over moisturizer. The mask contains manuka honey for soothing and healing, the bee venom ingredient for tightening and firming, shea butter for calming and softening as well as rose and lavender essential oils. The effects are immediate and cumulative.
